Tabou Caddis
Contributed by: Warren Frank

Recipe
Hook:TMC 200R nymph hook or similar
Thread:To match your fly color
Ribbing:Clear 0.5mm "Stretch Magic" elastic bracelet/necklace making material. I am sure monofilament would work just as well.
Body:Maribou or Chick-a-bou feather
Wing:Soft-Hackle feather
Head:Excess "fluff" from soft-hackle feather
Notes:Here is a step-by-step description:

The "official" receipe calls for chickaboo for the body and hen hackle for the wing, but on my flies I used 'maribou' and saddle feathers from a pheasant. I also mixed a little Ice Dub in with the fuzz for the head. Here is a picture of my "pheasant" Tabou Caddis.

BTW, this Stretch Magic stuff is pretty cool; stretchy and strong. I got my spool at Michaels craft store for about $3.
