Mini Bugger
Contributed by: Warren Frank

Recipe
Hook:Small sized 2XL nymph hook (example is size 16)
Weight:Lead wire or bead head optional
Thread:Black
Tail:A few strands of Krystal Flash, and a small tuft of maribou
Hackle:A hen hackle sized to your hook
Body:Excess maribou from the tail tuft, twisted into a "rope" and wrapped up the hook shank. Pull or snip off any excessively long fibers. Then Palmer the hackle up over the body. Tie off head.
Notes:You can tie the Mini Bugger in lots of "buggy" looking colors. It's an easy fly to tie, and works well. It's a good fly for casting into tricky places where you may lose your fly. You won't feel so bad about losing a fly that only took a few minutes to tie.
