Prince Nymph
Contributed by: Warren Frank

Recipe
Hook:Nymph hook size 8 - 16 (my example is size 14)
Thread:Brown
Tail:Brown goose biots
Body:Peacock herl
Hackle:Brown Hen Hackle
Wing:White goose biots
Notes:From Warren - Variations of the Prince nymph include adding a copper rib, lead under-wire, or a bead head. I have also tied an all black Prince Nymph which makes a very good stone fly nymph imitation.

When tying the body, I use 4 peacock herls, and wrap the tying thread around them for additional strength. This will prevent the teeth of the trout you catch from breaking the herls, causing them to unravel. After making the body, wrap the brown hackle, and pluck off any excess from the top of the fly. Then tie in the white goose biots.
