MAWI (Minnesota Aquatic Worm Imitation
Contributed by: Warren Frank

Recipe

Hook:Any short shanked nymph hook
Thread:Brown
Body:2/3" brown Ultra Chenille, 1/3" maroon Ultra Chenille
Notes:From Warren - Cut several pieces of chenille to length, and then quickly touch one end to a match or lighter flame to taper the end.

Just lash one piece of chenille onto the hook, then the second piece, and then make a "band" like a real worm has. I put nail polish on the band, but I'm sure this step doesn't matter to the fish. Some people use pink thread for the band, but I don't have any, so I used brown.

Tie a few for your box, and fish them with pride.
