| Hook: | Dry fly hook sized to match the natural mayflies |
| Tail: | Barred Mallard or Wood Duck |
| Abdomen: | Dry fly dubbing to match the natural mayflies |
| Thorax: | Same dubbing as abdomen |
| Wing: | Clump of Snowshoe Hare's Foot fur |
| Notes: | Snowshoe Hare's Foot can be a little difficult to work with at first, but a
little effort is well worth the results. It is a very useful material for a variety of flies. You
can buy it in both natural (creamy-white) and in dyed gray-dun, and perhaps other colors as well.
A pair of hare's feet will cost you about $5, and should be easy enough to find. I know for sure
Cabelas stocks it.
