Brook's Sprout
Contributed by: Flyangler

Recipe
Hook:Tiemco 2487 (or similar light wire emerger hook)
Thread:Black 8/0 or 12/0 (Don't trim off the tag end)
Body:Turkey tail
Post:Pink foam cylinder
Hackle:Dun hackle
Notes:From Warren - Start your thread at the top of the hook, and wrap it back towards the bend. Do not cut off the tag end, as this will become the rib in a few minutes. Next, tie in 2 fibers of turkey tail. Now advance the thread forward to the top of the hook, and tie in the post. You may need to put a few wraps in front of the post to make it stand upright. Next, tie in the butt end of the hackle, and return the thread to the rear edge of the post. Now wrap the turkey fibers forward to the post, and tie off. Counter wrap the tag end of the thread over the turkey fibers as a rib, and tie off at the post. Now wrap the hackle around the post 3 or 4 times parachute style, and tie off. It appears that Flyangler tied the hackle off on the post. Finally, make a neat head behind the hook eye.
